Listmania Revisted

Hi guys…  Having a cold the last couple weeks limited some of my regular day activities, but made rooms for other things which isn’t always a bad thing.  Jim, Ian, and Darcy convinced me and Jeff to start playing World of Warcraft for example (though they did NOT convince us to watch “American Pie”!  Never!)  I also got a chance to catch up on listening to great music, something I don’t do as much as I did when I was younger, for various reasons (I barely used my car here in
Charlottetown this winter and my car is where I listen to music the most!).  So during my down-time at home I had a chance to pop on some music and just relax.  This prompted me to make another list (a la our Amazon Listmania) of my favorite music of all time (in no particular order).  Some are old sentimental favorites, and a few others are newer bands.  I included a “key album”, which may not necessarily be the best album, but maybe important in some way to me.
I also ask that if you would like to make a short list of your own, just post it on the comments and share it with my loyal readers!  Do you want me to share the list with you?  OK!

Now I know what you’re thinking, and you’re right:  “Lindsay, why are there some great bands missing… like the Rolling Stones.  Surely you like them!”  Well, that’s true.  I guess they should be on there too.  Or “Badmotorfinger?  Are you kidding, Superunknown was WAYYY better!”  Debatable, but could well be true.  I guess my list is not complete, but at 35 and counting, I gotta stop somewhere…

    Who are those handsome bees?

  2. Geoff Says:

    Where’s the Metallica? Your list sucks…. :P

However seeing Grave Dancers Union on there was interesting. I’ll have to pull that one from the archives and re-listen.

  3. Bonnie Says:

The Mike Knott concert was the best concert I have been to in my entire life. Ever.

Songs/Artists I like that Lindsay might also like:
Brand New (Going to their concert! So excited!)
    Muse
    Arcade Fire
    Stars
    Iron & Wine
    Wolfmother

Now how do you hear about new music without the quintessential new music source, a.k.a, JM?

  4. Lindsay Says:

LOL Geoff, I knew I’d take some flack for the absence of Metallica! I really grew out of them from the mid-90’s on, but the old stuff rocks. GDU is a definite good album… I remember choosing to buy that album instead of Siamese Dream in 1993 at that crappy (now long gone) music shop in the Prairie Mall… Thanks for the info Bonnie, I have the new Aracde Fire, it’s ok so far… tell Jason to get his FTP back online, and I’ll check out the others! Let me know how the concert goes… and don’t remind me how I MISSED the Michael Knott concert. I’d like to get all his albums (including LSU) but hard to find! I only have 3: Rocket and Bomb, Graceshaker, and Fluid (GREAT album!). Yeah, JM is the ultimate source… NF too (Nick). Get that FTP up again Jason!

By the way, in that redse7en pic, it looks like Jason’s holding a hot dog, or a chicken burger or something! Chow down!

  6. A Goat Says:

You better Knott talk about him anymore!
