Playoffs baby!
MLB playoffs begin today, and after a 19 year playoff drought, my Detroit Tigers are playing in October! You can understand my excitement since the last few years have not been kind in my world of sports:

NHL – Pittsburgh Penguins 2001
NBA – Utah Jazz 2003
MLB – Detroit Tigers 1987
OK so the Tigers blew it in their final series against Kansas City, the last place team in the AL Central. Now we have to play the Yankees in the Bronx instead of Oakland in the cozy comfort of Comerica Park. Oh well, it won’t be the first time my favorite team takes on my most hated team in the playoffs (NBA finals 1997 and 1998!).
